I have been made fun of for:
ReplyDelete1. wearing "highwaters"
2. being the tallest girl in the class
3. having big hair - I mean awful, frizzy hair and when I was in the 7th grade my "friends" bought me Tame (google it - it's a conditioner) for Christmas
... and the list goes on. Main thing is, at the end of the day, you are a child of God who knit you together in your Mother's womb and loves you beyond measure. Nobody can take that away from you and not having a boyfriend doesn't change it.
With all of that said, it doesn't take away the sting of the stupid comment, does it? I hope you told the person that you were not so shallow that you need a boyfriend to have an identity. You don't. You are Courtney; a strong, caring young woman who is a beautiful child of God.
